Case Study
Gaia began working with RegenCo in 2020 as an investor and an advisor in its period of formation. Since then, it has grown to be one of Australia’s leading Carbon Project Developers with Gaia acting as their corporate advisor.
Regenco was founded in 2019 by Rick Klink and Dr Tim Moore. The company approached Gaia Natural Capital in 2020 to assist with the development of a corporate strategy to establish an Australian carbon project developer operating under the Emissions Reduction Fund’s Australian Carbon Credit Unit (ACCU) framework.
Gaia worked with the RegenCo founders to resource the team and prepare the company for its funding rounds. Gaia has acted as Lead Manager to three capital raises for RegenCo, raising $8 million in aggregate.
RegenCo now manage over 6.5 million hectares of Australian carbon projects forecast to generate in excess of two million Australian Carbon Credits (ACCUs) per annum for the next 25 years.
Gaia recently worked with the company to appoint a tier one investment bank to provide financial advisory services to RegenCo, delivering global capital markets and structuring capability.
Gaia continue to work with RegenCo to further develop their corporate and capital markets strategy, assist with identifying additional Australian based carbon projects and maximise the value of their ACCU carbon credit income stream.
